The Comedy Network Series

On Oct. 28, 2004, TRUTHHORSE premiered all across Canada. The series on the comedy Network was made up of 6 episodes, airing each and every Thursday.

This show was unlike our Rogers series though. Woven throughout, and spanning the six episodes, there was a newly shown behind-the-scenes world that revealed the story and antics of the Truthhorse guys as they put together a television show they hoped would go to air.

The Story:

Spurred on by the persuasive Brad Cowan, the Truthhorse lads are convinced that a network has offered them a deal to produce their own TV show. They have received no money from this supposed network, yet they drive forward to do what it is they love: crafting humorous shorts that often parody TV and advertising culture.

From filming on a freighter without permission in Toronto harbour, to struggling to keep rent paid, to holding auditions to replace one of the original 6 members... the guys come up against real life realities. You can bet that whether the scene is on-location shooting, having meetings to plan stuff, or just hanging out in front of the camera, shit's gettin' crazy.
